CANADIAN OFF-ROAD EXPO and THE TOYO TIRES ROCK CRAWL

TOYO Tires is the presenting sponsor of the TOYO TIRES Rock Crawl.  The event is held in Western Canada as a part of the Canadian Off-Road Expo and is sanctioned by WE Rock Canada. 

The TOYO TIRES Rock Crawl is a points-based rock climbing competition where competitors “crawl” through a professionally designed off-road course.  Theses challenging courses have several jagged edges and steep peaks that make it a challenge to maneuver through.  Competitors are judged based on their ability to crawl through the concourse with the best time and the fewest errors.  An “error” in a rock crawl competition are mistakes like crawling off-course or rolling backwards in order to help build forward momentum to get over a hump.  Competitors are deducted points for each error.

D1 CANADA

D1 Canada, formerly National Sport Compact (NSC) is one of the largest sport compact shows in Montreal.  The show features an excellent display of performance, electronics and entertainment, and TOYO Tires has been a premium sponsor for the show for several years.

This year, D1 Canada has transformed from an auto show to a drift demo!

TOYO TIRES DRIVEN TO PERFORM aka DTP

TOYO Tires Driven To Perform is the largest and most established performance and after-market automotice show in Western Canada.  The show is an automotive lifestyle tour visiting four of Western Canada’s largest cities.  The show has evolved from its early days which focused mainly on the tuner car scene, to its current strategy of showcasing the latest in after-market performance imports, hot-rods, supercars, race cars, and even DUB-style SUVs.

DTP Facts:

• Started off as Import Showoff in 2002
• TOYO Tires acquired naming rights in 2004, officially changing the name to the Driven to Perform tagline
• Four cities in the tour: Vancouver.Calgary.Edmonton.Winnipeg

DRIFTMANIA

DriftMania is Canada’s professional drifting competition and only professionally sanctioned drifting competition in Canada.  TOYO Tires’ has a strong reputation competing in professional drifting competitions across the globe so Drift Mania was an excellent place to showcase TOYO’s performance lineup within Canada. 

Drifting is an extreme motorsport that originated in the rural, windy mountain roads of Japan.  The concept of drifting is to maintain an oversteer throughout the corners so that the car travels at an extreme angle through the turn.  Drivers are judged on their entry speed, overall angle and how smooth they can connect their “line” through the track.

DARKNIGHTS

Since the 1999, Darknights presented by TOYO Tires has been the biggest tuner in show in Ontario, and within a few years became one of the biggest automotive lifestyle events in the country.  In addition to a show n’ shine, the show has been known to feature a bikini pageant, DJ battles, breakdancing competitions, a hydraulics show, skateboarding and BMX exhibitions and even a 3-on-3 basketball tournament!  After a two year hiatus, Darknights is back by teaming up with Performance World to create a show that will showcase everything from hot rods to tuner cars.

• Dragnights evolved from Darknights with a ¼ mile drag strip and 3km circuit track
